This is one of the hidden gems in BB, LA... Cajun country raised me, but the Army pays me. I visit this establishment every time I am in town and bring visitors with me who are NEVER disappointed. From the shrimp spinach salad to the potato soup, catfish bites, it's all delicious!

Was told it was not a good place to eat when they first opened. But I tried the food tonight and made it is so great!!!

Had dinner here with one of my wonderful daughters. The food is pretty darn good! She had the grilled tuna salad and I had the ragin cajun pizza. Both were phenomenal. The atmosphere is very nice. For those who don't know, this place used to be an old automotive (Chevy) dealership. It can get pretty darn busy but it's worth the wait, in my opinion. The service has always been good every time I've been here. I've had several items on the menu with the most of these being different pizzas. Each one (pizza) is unique and flavorful in its own way. The crawfish enchiladas are stupid good along with the drunken shrimp. The pasta dishes are pretty darn good as well. The drink menu has a pretty good selection.

We picked up a takeout order. The praline chicken was ok. My spaghetti looked like the spaghetti I would get in the cafeteria in elementary school, but didn't even taste that good. I was gonna eat it anyway until I saw the hair. My fiance said it was the worst spaghetti he had ever eaten. I had to agree. The gumbo would have been good if it didn't taste like a bowl of salt with some gravy thrown in. On the complete opposite side of the spectrum, my fiance's food tasted bland. What a disappointment and waste of hard earned money. :(

Good food. Pizza is great, but there are many other choices as well. The atmosphere is amazing. Spacious, clean, lots of parking. Walking distance from downtown attractions.

At last, I was able to stop by this place, since last time I was in town I left before they opened up. I really enjoyed the LA spin on pizza, and for my first, I went with the Sicilian pizza, but I was left wanting more crab. I could smell it, and I even tasted it a few times during the whole 10 inch pizza. But it's not a "every bite" kind of serving of crab. The crust could use some work, but by no means is it a bad pizza, in fact its a great pizza. The only reason why I gave 3 stars is because I've had better with respect to crust, and a better balance of amount of toppings. This is probably because the toppings are going to be more expensive compared to your basic pizza ingredients. I will certainly stop by again, and see if they can get their 2 stars. I am sure they can, since they have so many choices. Should note that this review was originally typed out in Sept of 2012, its been in the draft box for quite some time now.

Buck and Johnny's....dining here made me want to meet Buck and Johnny. Who are the geniuses behind this pizza palace? Easy to find, with plenty of parking, this is a great spot for meeting friends or satisfying a pizza craving. The place itself is cool, as it used to be an old service station, so there are a lot of gas signs and other automotive paraphernalia to spark interest and conversation - if there is a motorhead in your life, take them here. The venue has booths and tables to accommodate different size parties and despite being a garage, it isn't noisy. I had the margherita pizza and my companion had the bayou blast (I think that's what it's called - the one with the aligator) and both were pretty good. There personal size pizzas are six inches and are perfect for one without feeling overstuffed. I also had some steak fries with bacon ranch dressing, which seems boring, but these were special...sea salt, skin on, they were good! While I didn't try the soups or salads, there are good options other than pizza, but the pizza is the main attraction AND it's offered with either regular or wheat crusts. Nice!

Nothing is authentic every sauce is made from the same base and ribeye steak's and hamburger steak's are finished in the microwave when chef is crunched for time. Trust me I used to work there. I got fired for not following the chef suit of the way things were going.

I first got take out from here while I was visiting family in September 2011. My server was friendly and the food was presented well and tasted good. Today we ordered there again and it seemed like the service has taken a turn for the worst. I called in an order and whoever answered acted like I was bothering them from the start. It felt like I was interrupting them by calling and they weren't appreciative of my business. When my family went to pick it up they said the place was dead and the waitress that helped them was again rude and acted like they were doing us a favor by serving us. In a small town like Breaux Bridge it takes exceptional service and delicious food at all times and under any circumstance to build a respectable reputation.

First off, I do like the food here. Wings, fried catfish, salads and pizza are very good. Pretty consistent in the quality section. So, why the two stars? The service, or lack there of is the worst thing about this place! In the past 4 visits to this place with parties of 2-4 ranging in times from early evening to 7:30ish, the time between being seated and a waiter/waitress showing up to greet us and take our drink orders has ranged from 10 to 15 minutes! Each time the place had plenty of empty tables and wait staff milling around the back of the restaurant near the bar. What makes it even worse is that you have someone who I think is the manager walking around and simply "surveying" the crowd but not really noticing that tables are not being tended to. So, we decided that from now on we will place our orders to go or simply go somewhere else since the service is terrible!

Great pizza and atmosphere. Love to hang out and relax in the throw back building. Good cold beer at night and loads of tv action! Now open on Mondays! They also have a banquet room that can be reserved for parties or receptions.

The best pizza restaurant in the parish. Service is great but pizza is outstanding. Great atmosphere and the theme is really cool. This is my go to place for pizza at a great price.

We went for breakfast, I had the pain perdu and my husband had the breakfast pizza. The pizza was OUTSTANDING - crisp crust and eggs and sausage on top. The pain perdu was OK - nothing special. Downgrades are on the service - the waiter came by our table several times to check on how we were doing and never had his coffee pot with him - so we had to keep asking him to refill our coffee. We were seated at 9am and not served our food until 9:45am, meanwhile other tables came and went. Finally another waiter (not our own) told us that the ovens took a long time to warm up and the breakfast pizza was holding the food up. Finally they served my pain perdu but still my husband's breakfast pizza wasn't ready, so I was almost finished by the time they served him. Pizza was great but service needs an upgrade.

This place was recommended by a friend. We tried it and was very disappointed. My wife had a hamburger steak and it was so hard you could not eat it. The food tasted like it had been warmed over. I had a Cajun Salad. I asked for the fried shrimp in the salad. Of course, it come with boiled. I don't know why they called it Cajun, nothing in the salad tasted cajun...Very disappointed..

Went here for Valentine's night. The place is well decorated and fun to eat at. Let me start out by saying its located in a small town (I know because i have lived here all my life). Our waitress said they were staffed for a normal tuesday night which in Breaux Bridge thats not too busy but this was Valentines Day so I think you get the picture. They were way under staffed for the crowd but because its such a cool spot to just visit it wasn't that bad. The other people there didnt seem to mind either since it's really laid back. We started out with a ceasre salad which i must say was pretty darn good!!! The pizza that followed was top notch as well. For what she was faced with our server was very nice. If you are in town and looking for a fun place to get together with friends and put down some pizza and beers you have found your spot.Breaux Bridge is lucky to have a place like Buck and Johnny's right around the corner. While you are in town look around it's a pretty neat little place to shop!!

This place has quickly become my families favorite place to get pizza. At first i was skeptical of a gourmet pizza place, but after our first taste, we were sold. They have a good selection of different pizza's, even some with alligator sausage. They even offer whole wheat crusts, that taste just as good as "normal" crusts.

If you are looking for a break in cajun/creole cusine this place is a good choice. They have pizza that is made from homemade hand tossed dough, covered in fresh ingredients. There are several specialty pizzas to choose from or build your own. I split a large ceaser salad with my husband before sharing a 10 inch pizza and we were both full. The ceaser was killer! Lots of bold flavor, crisp romaine, creamy dressing, large chunks of parmesan and even though I didn't see any anchovies the flavor was in there. The service is prompt and attentive and the prices are reasonable. nice atmosphere too.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
